So now that it’s finally gardening season where I live, I can post original photos of my garden and what I’m up to in the backyard. 
This photo is of the markers that I’m DIY’ing. They’ve got be the most environmentally-conscious plant markers out there because I simply just hunted for them in the wasteland leftover after winter.
The twigs must have fallen sometime in the fall and dried out when all the snow melted up. All I did was get my Swiss Army Knife and shave off a little strip of bark near the top of the twig. Then, with a Sharpie, I wrote down the name of the plant I’m going to grow. 
The rocks and piece of bark are simply just things I found in the soil when I was digging. I just used a Sharpie Paint Pen for the green ink. 
Didn’t spend any money at all. No environmental impact was made. And it makes for a really cute, cottage-garden feel.
